The BUSINESS SESSION of the Commission meeting will begin at 2 p.m. at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks headquarters, located at 1505 Eastover Drive in Jackson.
There will be an EDUCATIONAL SESSION beginning at 1 p.m. This session provides important insights to the Commission on daily and seasonal activities in the agency. No action is taken by the Commission during the Educational Session.
The meeting is open to the public; however, COVID-19 pandemic precautions are still in place at this time and seating will be limited to 6 ft. distance between chairs in the meeting room.
There will be a live audio/video stream of the Commission meeting and a link will be provided on the MDWFP website 20 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
The public will have an opportunity to provide comments on the Business Session agenda by sending an email to [email protected] by May 7, 2021. Your email must include the agenda item # in the subject of your email. The body of your message should include your name and address before your comments.
If you prefer to make comments by attending in person (room limited to 6 ft distance between chairs) please send an email making this request and include your name, address, and agenda item #. Speakers will be limited to three to five minutes each and number of speakers may be limited. Only items on the Business Session agenda are considered for action by the Commission.
For persons who have already sought and received approval to address the Commission, he or she may still address the Commission at the meeting, but access will be strictly controlled. Participants may have to wait his or her turn in the building lobby. Proper social distancing rules and wearing of masks will be enforced while waiting. After making his or her presentation, the participant may be asked to leave the Commission room.
