In an age when most mainstream national, regional and local media has put outdoors coverage on the back burner, MSHFN fills the void. Local hunting and fishing news is our niche.
Over 30 years ago Mid-South Hunting Fishing News (MSHFN) began as a way to provide the region’s sportsmen with local outdoor news they couldn’t get anywhere else.
Things haven’t changed. Today we’re still bragging about our accomplishment. “We write about the outdoors that’s right outside your back door.” Nobody else does.
Our coverage area is best defined with Memphis, Tennessee as the geographic center and hub. From there we reach west to Little Rock, Arkansas, east to Nashville, Tennessee, south to Jackson, Mississippi and north to Paducah, Kentucky.
From our office in Brownsville, Tennessee, ten times annually, we publish a glossy magazine that’s distributed to subscribers and over 300 regional newsstands.
We work hard to make sure every issue includes: how-to and where-to articles by the Mid-South’s most knowledgeable and renowned outdoor writers; news from the region’s fish and game departments; fish and game recipes; classified advertising; tournament results and calendars; outdoor photo contests; new product information; and pictorial features about the most attended events in the Mid-South.
