The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing to renew several public uses on Reelfoot, Lake Isom, Chickasaw, Lower Hatchie, and Hatchie Refuges and is requesting public comments. Compatibility determinations for allowing wildlife dependent uses are required to be renewed every fifteen years and public comments are encouraged. The wildlife dependent uses and associated proposed compatibility determinations include; wildlife environmental education, wildlife interpretation, wildlife observation, wildlife photography, hunting, and sport fishing. Comments will be accepted from September 13-26, 2021. Comments can be sent to 309 N. Church St. Rm. 201, Dyersburg, TN 38024. The compatibility determinations can be found below, or at any of the refuge offices, or at www.fws.gov/westtnrefuges/.
